PRESENTATION

JEFFREY BAY

Surf camp South Africa is located in the surf resort town of Jeffreys Bay in South Africa’s Eastern Cape region. The town used to be a quiet fishing village until its sandy warm beaches and perfect surfing bays were discovered. Today it is touted as the surfing Mecca of South Africa and is home to the one and only ASP-stop on the world surf championship tour on the African continent. The area receives consistent swells from the Indian Ocean and provides great surfing all year round for both beginners and more experienced surfers.

The waves just go on and on in perfect right-hand point-breaks, which are said to be some of the world’s best.

South Africa is not only famous for its amazing surfing. It is also the land where you can meet lions and elephants in their own backyard. We wouldn’t want any of our guests visiting this amazing country to miss out on these stunning experiences. Therefore, one guided visit to a safari game drive is included for all guests.

Jeffreys Bay is situated just 35 km west of the gateway city of Port Elizabeth, where airport pick up is included for all guests. With its unique combination of beautiful beaches, endless summers and relaxed lifestyle, Jeffreys Bay has a true surf atmosphere. After a great day of surfing you can hang out at many of the local surf bars or stroll on the beach and comb for rare and beautiful shells.
Temperatures are moderate all year round along the coast with rain scattered throughout the year. The summers (October to March) are warm with a very temperate humidity level. Winters are mild and pleasant with good surf year round.

Jeffreys Bay & the Philosophies of Bruce

Jeffrey’s Bay, South Africa. A tall, old man appears quietly on the wooden boardwalks on the dunes overlooking the point,
amongst the exploding orange aloes, and clusters of coffeeclutching surfers.
Incongruous amid their hip labels, the codger looks like he has stepped out of Alby Falzon’s Morning of the Earth.

Accomodation

The accommodation we offer is a great deal. Depending on your preferences we can offer you two different types of accommodation, standard or upgraded.

The standard alternative means you will get your own bed and locker but share a room with others surfers.
If you are traveling as a couple our in a large group, we can also offer you accommodation in double rooms or self catering flats with stunning sea views and private bathrooms (upgraded accommodation).
Both options include breakfast and dinner. There is also free use of the fully equipped kitchen and all facilities like pool table, lounge, balconies, garden, bar, TV and DVD. All rooms are un-crowded, clean and serviced daily with linen and duvets included.

The surf camp is located only 25 meters away from a beautiful beach with rock pools, dolphins, collector's seashells, and superior waves. The atmosphere is relaxed, laid-back and has a home-away-from-home feeling. You will wake up to the sound of waves pounding the shore, a fresh sea breeze revitalizing the travel weary body, stirring within the anticipation of a "dream day" of surf.
