"A perfect spot, with powerful waves which are drawn up above a volcanic rock. It is the largest rupture in Panama, with waves seldom in lower parts of 1.50m and as high as walls from 4 to 6 metres for the higher. "

Santa Catalina has the most powerful right and the best formed of Central America. Water is hot but the reefs are very pointed and of the shoes are obligatory.

There are other spots in Punta Brava which are even more serious. A recent guest, Mike Holmes, wrote this "we took a way which took us on the beach on a spot called Punta Brava and let me say that the place is perfect. The spot is usually twice larger than Catalina. It is very soft with the tide and breaks only during one hour. This left breaks above the volcanic rock but there are no channel or easy exit."

There are many breaks as well on the islands Cebaco, Coiba and Montuosa. It is a zone completely opened for the exploration of the waves and now accessible by pi Panga of 7m with its 75 cv Yamaha. These islands are the guarantee of virgin zones of surfing.

Santa Catalina is moved away and there is not nowhere where to eat in the area, you have the possibility of having a break-in crust at disposal. The reservations in advance are necessary. All the formulas of surfing include three meals by day with drinks.
